Conover (and surrounding communities) mourns the loss of Nancy Vold, with 30 years of service as a certified EMT-B with the Conover Ambulance Service as well as Service Director from 1987 – 2015. She was also certified in the state of MI and completed landing zone training. Nancy was also an honorary member of the Conover Fire Department and held the rank of Treasurer. Nancy was Wisconsin’s EMT of the year in 2003. She will be greatly missed by everyone and we will remember her always. Visitation will be on Friday, February 9th from 9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. followed by the Funeral at 1 p.m. at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home. Nancy Vold Obituary

The Dinner will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2016 from 4 – 8 p.m. @ the Conover Center – 4665 CTH K East.
Cost of dinner is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 10.
Dinner includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti with or without meatballs, garlic bread, salad and drink.
Proceeds for this dinner will go towards a scholarship in the mechanical field and to better our town park which are two things Rich loved. So come and join the Conover Fire & Rescue Departments for a GREAT dinner!

The facility is located just EAST of the Fire Department right on County Highway K East. 4655 Transfer Station Road.
You are REQUIRED to use the NEW ACCESS Right off the Black Top on County Highway K
There is NO access permitted from any area in, on or between the Fire Dept. and the Post Office.
Hours of Operation as follows:
Summer: May 1 – through Labor Day Winter: After Labor Day (Oct 1 – April 30)
(1st Monday in September)
Sunday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday 1 – 4 p.m.
Wednesday 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Site CLOSED on all HOLIDAYS
The waste & recycling facility is operated by Eagle Waste and Recycling. Former blue Town issued punch cards are NOT VALID. DO NOT go to the site with your old/expired punch card – it will not be accepted. The Clerk’s office will no longer sell punch cards or convert your “Old or Previous” cards to NEW Eagle Waste Punch cards.
WARNING: Do not pre-buy cards – purchase only the cards you will use up by the end of the calendar year. If the operators of the site need to adjust the cost…….there WILL NOT be any option of converting or getting credit for un-used cards or punches. Each year the new punch cards could be a different color than the prior year’s card.
REMINDER: Be considerate and have your check and punch card ready to give the attendant. No one wants to wait while you are writing a check.
Eagle Waste has announced that they will honor the Conover Punch Cards at any of their facilities that they operate (Example – Eagle River and Three Lakes sites) for your disposal of trash and recyclables during times of those operations.
Eagle Waste will accept and punch your card at their facility located behind Shopko at the end of Jack Frost Road during their hours:
Eagle River Site: Winter: 9am – Noon – Mon-Wed & Sat [Dec – Apr 30]
Summer: 9am – 2pm – Mon-Wed-Fri & Sat [May 1 – Nov 30]
